Kingston Technology Company announced today that it is starting to ship select DDR2 and DDR3 HyperX memory modules with its new T1 heatspreaders. The taller heatspreaders utilize HyperX Thermal Xchange (HTX) technology to further diffuse heat buildup when overclocking. HTX technology is the latest innovation from Kingston's engineers. It includes bigger heatspreaders made of heavy-duty extruded aluminum and extended fins for maximum thermal conductivity. The new series includes both dual and triple channel kits. All Kingston HyperX products are backed by a lifetime warranty and free 24/7 technical support, the HyperX T1 series makes no exception.

Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 is unique from a very special point of view, it is the first laptop sporting no less than three graphics processors from NVIDIA. Toshiba has backed up the integrated GeForce 9400M GPU with two discrete GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs to give its atest creation the very best graphics performance, while the Hybrid SLI technology should keep the power consumption as low as possible when the extreme graphics power isn't needed. The unique design featuring three NVIDIA GPUs enables the Qosmio X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 laptops to deliver scorching gaming performance by combining the horsepower of two discrete GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs with NVIDIA SLI® technology, and allows the option of switching to a quiet operation mode with NVIDIA Hybrid SLI technology. In Hybrid SLI operation, the powerful 9800M GTS GPUs are powered down and graphics operation is transferred to the GeForce 9400M GPU. As a result, Toshiba Qosmio laptops are able to deliver record-breaking gaming performance at high resolutions, while enabling a quiet state when powering other types of Windows Vista applications.

In an exhibition of pure technological flexibility by AMD, the RV770 graphics processor is going to be used along with GDDR4 memory, in PowerColor's newest Radeon HD 4850 PCS+ GDDR4 graphics card. The inclusion of GDDR4 memory is to boost the memory clock speeds and to provide room for a little more memory overclocking.
The PCS+ GDDR4 features a GPU cooler designed by ZEROtherm, which is advertised to keep the GPU up to 10 °C cooler than what the reference cooler would. It features heatsinks for the memory and the VRM area. It features 512 MB of GDDR4 memory clocked at 2.20 GHz, with the core clocked at 675 MHz. The card supports CrossFireX, and sports dual-DVI connectors. There is no word on its availability pricing as of now.

With today’s traditional workstation model pricing, many organizations can only afford to deploy professional graphics solutions to select designers and engineers, leaving a significant portion of the workforce with sub-optimal products. This is about to change as NVIDIA Corp. announced today NVIDIA Quadro FX 470, the first integrated professional motherboard GPU, and NVIDIA Quadro FX 370 Low Profile (Quadro FX 370 LP), an entry-level Quadro graphics boards for small form factor systems.
NVIDIA Quadro series are famous for its great CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and DCC (digital content creation) performance.

Palit is ready with what appears to be, a monstrous graphics card based on the ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 (R700) design with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory, called the Palit Revolution R700 Deluxe. What makes it monstrous apparently is its width that spans across three expansion slots. Under the shroud of the cooler is an elaborate cooling system designed by Palit itself. The cooler comprises of a large heat radiator, through which several heat-pipes conduct heat from contact blocks for the GPUs, memory, and the PCI-Express bridge chip, with seperate cooling blocks for the VRM area. Two fans of identical sizes blow air on the two thermal zones for the card: GPU and power circuitry. The card boasts overclocking features and company marketed overclocking potential highest for any R700 design so far, while shipping with reference clock speeds of 750/3800 MHz (core/memory). The card is fueled by the usual 6+2 pin and 6 pin power connectors, which are right-angled for accessibility.

The last 2 years have been very hard for AMD. The company went down after Intel released their Core 2 processor, from other side the buying of ATI had made the situations bad with the video cards. When nVIDIA released the G80 GPU in the end of 2006, AMD didn't had anything to put against it. In the end of 2007 the situation was saved by the HD3850 and HD3870. And now, in 2008, we have two new graphic processors. Let us at ModReactor put them head to head to see which is better.

Here's ECS with its X58 motherboard. Over the past month or two, motherboard manufacturers have been taking the opportunity of flashing their offering based on Intel's newest chipset, supporting the upcoming Core i7 Processors. Product launch dates for the processors itself had been see-sawing, with early estimates having pointed at an October launch, while other sections of the industry pointing at November 17, 2008 as D-day for Intel and its motherboard partners. Perhaps the November launch was chosen to give motherboard vendors some room to ready their products for the market that comes to be.The ECS X58B-A is the company's X58 motherboard based on the Black-Series design, sporting a black PCB with yellow, red, orange and copper to form the design theme. It uses a rather simplistic layout, with two PCI-Express x16 slots, a close-ended PCI-Express x4 slot, and one PCI slot. It features a 5+1 phase power circuit for the CPU, and uses solid-state capacitors overall. The motherboard supports both ATI CrossFireX and NVIDIA SLI multi-GPU technologies, it features six onboard SATA II ports with headers to two e-SATA ports, among other standard features. The X58B-A is expected to start shipping around the time Intel launches the Core i7 processors, it is expected to be priced at US $260. Source: techpowerUp! |
