Episode 8 - The last musketeer

This episode teels the story about the last member of this ancient class - musketeers. We will tell for his youth, his life, his upsurge and his decay. We will also tell how the demise of this calss lead to the disintegration of the whole governing regime.

Oops, this was for another history series, dealing with the customs and culture of the ancient people.

In this episode we will tell about the cruelty, displayed by our main character - the unknown representative of the ancients - to a helpless, defenseless device, called "musketeer" for no apparent reason.

These are some pictures of yet another device of unknown purpose. Such devices were placed by ancient people in portable domens, in which they baked their food and used them to display the temperature in the domens:

Here the ancient one pictured how he mounted the strange device to the front side of the disfigured musketeer:

After that he mounter a cilindrycal glass object with unknown purpose:

This is the mounting plate made from some sort of odd, transparent crystal. The people of the past used such precious crystals and rare metals, put them in stupid places to show their social standing to their contemporary fellow tribesmen:

Here the ancient one used more of the crystal, but this time black, so he can close the two openings of the device:

This is the rest of the musketeer. Here the ancient man used metal mountings to place the blue crystal panels:

Various buttons, used according to the ancient one for control of ventilation and lighting:

And this, as unthinkable as it seems, is a thermometer, powered by electricity:

Some photographs of the assembled device:

These are the places in which the ancient one planned to mount the devices:

At this point, our scientists based on the gathered information, reached the conclusion about what this device does. Because it san control lighting, ventilation and temperature, has different attchments to measure temperature and az we suspect humidity and pressure, and also is a kind of calculating machine, we suspect that the ancients used it to control their bird farms. These were places, whete the ancients grew chickens for food. There the environment had to be controlld, and also food had to be correctly dosaged fo the chickens could grow to enormous proportions, because the ancients were very gluttonous and also continually strived to make as much production for as little input resources as possible.

Also according to data from this time, the ancients had a product called "chicken legs". These were whole bags filled only with chicken legs. They had it in every store. Our scientists suppose that the ancients were very advanced in genetic engineering and managed to make special chickens - chickens-centipedes. We suspect this is true, because according to calculations if a single chicken has only 2 feet, which was the case at that time, it is impossible for this item to be so common or it was at the expense of great squander of the rest part of the chickens, which in our humble opinion is impossible because of the ancients' gluttony. They for example had an expression, concerning the leftoevers after they finished eating - "Give it to me to eat it, it won't go to waste." It seems that then food was plenty and easy to come by, the ancients had not the slightest clue in what rich and happy times they lived.

This probably was one of the last, most advanced bird farms. Roughly at this time we suspect the ancients discovered a grave bird illness, the called it "bird flu". Shortly after that the stopped consuming birds and food started to become more and more hard to find which led to world famine. Then the big nations started cruel war for resources - mostly food - and that led to "war of the nucleus", which destroyed most of the contemporary world..
