Part 5 - Completion
I had to cut the excess parts of the gamepad so I can mount it inside the guitar:
After a lot of cutting, sanding and nerves, here is the result:
Backlit testing:
Here is the button panel mounting. The projecting part from the side will support it to the rest of the frets board (the stupid Chinese glued the whole guitar, haven’t thought that someone would want to disassemble it):
Test fit:
Now the string. The basic idea is to solder the string to one side of the button and a metal pick-like piece to the other. That way when I hit the string with the pick it will make contact:
Some more sanding was needed to make a better fit between gamepad and guitar:
The whammy bar i made from knitting needle. I cut the correct length, heated it with a candle and mounted it to the acrylic piece:
And finally all cables had to be soldered:
