I choose to oxidize the joints that move the shields too. Damn. I guess there is some protective film on them. Apparently it had faded at some places since the chemical created interesting spots.

I kept it. Well the joints are not quite visible and i'm on the rough look thing so... I began to attach the joints to the hard platic rings. The rings were painted roughly black. The front one is fixed to the body with glue, the back one is mobile. Confident that two wires are enough i tied together everything. I was wrong of course. It was incerdibly ugly.
So i used some composite glue to fill the canals. After the glue solidified i filed off the exess and used a black marker to make it acceptably ugly. The result on a video:
Then it was time to do the finishing touches on the aditional led. At some point i desided to put in the same body the ambient light sensor too. That was another mistake. Having both there made mounting according to plan immposible. Choosing aluminum was a good thing. I made opening for the wires with a file.
The body was mounted with glue to the frame. And it was then and there that i faced the last problem for me, created by me. Mounting the shields. I made a crazy setup with the help of which to be able to do it. Using glue again.
