Page 3 - Testing methods

To test how well A-Data Vitesta DDR800 2x1GB performs, we chose a variety tests of a different nature. The first tests you see (SiSoft Sandra and Everest Ultimate) show the memory's transfer rate and latency. Alas it's a fact that a handful of people are interested in these numbers. And because this memory targets the gamers, we included two very popular and very heavy games, for which memory is very important. We'll also see how high latency we can achieve with A-Data Vitesta DDR800, which will satisfy the questions of the other consumer group that A-DATA targets - the overclockers. Especially for them we've included the popular benchmark 3DMark Vantage, to see how important the speed of the memory is for the test.

First tests you see (SiSoft Sandra and Everest Ultimate) show memory's transfer rate and latency. Alas it's a fact that a handful of people are interested in these numbers. And because this memory targets mostly gamers, we included two very popular and very intensive games, which require lots of memory. We'll also test relatively how overclockable it is, answering A-Data's targeted overclockers group. Especially for them we've included Futuremark's popular benchmark 3DMark Vantage, to see how important memory speed is for the test.
