Page 13 - Conclusion
Summing it all up in few words - AMD Phenom II 955 BE clearly impressed us. This is yet another product in the right direction for AMD, making them ever more attractive choice in the medium and high class. Should you are overclock enthusiast, maybe you'll get a tad disappointed by the mere 600те MHz that can be squeezed from the processor. It is common after all for Core i7 920 to reach 4GHz on air and to be honest Intel processors are considerably cooler. On the other hand the price of Phenoms is positioned very nicely and aggressively, justifying the processor capabilities and compensating for its shortcomings. For anyone in need of new machine, without any interest in overclock, AMD Phenom II 955 BE offers a complete and satisfactory package. For users currently owning AM2+ systems this is the most natural and logical upgrade, on allowing them at later stage to have easier transition to using the new DDR3 memory, when its price becomes more acceptable (and it is going down every day you know).
