Page 6 - Performance: Everest Ultimate Memory Benchmarks
One of the most popular programs for general PC diagnostics, including several performance benchmarks. Memory performance benchmarks to be precise. Everest Ultimate can test the performance of your system memory in reading, writing, copying ad random searches (latency). Thus we get to see how according to Everest is the Intel Core i7 and AMD Phenom II processor integrated memory controllers affecting performance, while also getting some idea of what we get from Intel's tipple channel architecture and how tests are affected by memory volume and timings.

Results are logical and consistent. Higher frequencies and lower timings give clear increase of performance. Integrated controllers are dominant in everything but writing. It is odd, but only there the Core 2 architecture has advantage on Phenom II, in all other tests it was trailing behind.
