Page 5 - Conclusion
Pros
- One of the cheapest there is – 40$.
- Edimax WSP system
- Small power adapter
- 802.11n
- Good craftsmanship
Cons
- No holes for wall mounting
- Average performance
- Not a bad design, ruined by the ugly front panel
- No option for use of alternative firmware
- No flashy features, like the ones in models of higher class
Edimax BR-6226n might not be the prettiest, the one with most flashy features, or the one with the best wireless radio at the market, but its certainly one of the cheapest. Need we remind you it is also a 802.11n router? Taking that into consideration and comparing it to other products in the same class we can clearly see that its price is about 25-30% lower than one of most similar devices on the market. So if you need a cheap router that has N standard support, this one definitely deserves a thought or two, providing you can live with its flaws. Pity though, for the lack of holes for wall mounting.
