Comfortability
Since we already tested pads with this shape let us rephrase ourselves:
One of the main functions of this type of hardware is to make your interaction with the laptop more comfy. The particular products provide substantial lift on the back, while the same cannot be said for the front. That much of raise for the front is initially a tad uncomfortable. But when you get used to it and after a mere day of working with the pad I removed it in order to feel the difference – I didn't last an hour before putting the pad back beneath my laptop. The raise from the back is more than welcomeо – it raises the screen up to your natural eyesight line. And even if you are using the bigger for 15,4” the comfort is the same, despite the sticking out edges.
As for the fan noise – they are very quiet, the noise is mostly due to the air swishing from the fan grills. But then again laptops are noisier than the pad and the further testing clearly proved that they are not that much needed in Idle mode.
As whole the Evercool Royal brings noticeable comfort in your interaction with the laptop, Now let's see how they affect its liveliness too:
Temperature
Tests were made with the fans in both configurations - blowing to the laptop and sucking air from it. I got my trusty screwdriver and got to work:
Below we've listed the temperature values in both configurations and without pad:

This time the tests were done at higher room temperature and differences are smaller. Despite this the presence of a big aluminum slab does show – temperature difference is considerable. From the tests we can see that the configuration for sucking air from the laptop is inefficient. It might have been should the laptop was sucking air from the sides and blowing it down. Consider this while using the pad and forget not to set the fan block in optimal configuration.
