Nowadays the volume of information we're using is constantly increasing. At the same time the prices of disk drives are dropping. A 500GB drive is becoming something quite common. Yet at a certain point we all face a major problem – sooner or later we all run out of place to put disk drives in. And right here running to our aid come the external disk drives. And surely enough that's exactly what we're reviewing today - the Revoltec Alu Book II.

Our friends from Revoltec kindly provided us with a test sample of their external disk drive case - Alu Book II. This is in fact the new, refaced variation of a well known product, the major differences being in the case design. We got the black version, the others being colored in blue or red. Alu Book II is aluminum external case without additional cooling, capable of fitting up to 3.5” SATA 1 and 2 hard drives with USB 2.0 and eSATA interfaces. The case is priced at 35.99 EUR., so let's see what exactly do we get for it.
