Page 2 - Packaging and contents

Now let's see what's hiding inside the flashy packaging of each fan (besides the fan that is :) )

As you can see besides the fans we get the mandatory rubber, anti-vibration mounting "bolts" and the company's logo sticker.

Specifications

Each box comes with a sticker on the front and back indicative of the type of the fan (except for the Silent 12 model, which is probably left unmarked, due to carrying non of the perks of the other two). Each fan comes with 5 year warranty, long life, quiet work and ample air flow... according to what;s written on the box that is :D.

And now for a more detailed review for each of them:

Silent 12

  • Dimentions: 120x120x25 mm
  • Weight: 130 g
  • Bearing: Hydro Dynamic
  • Fan speed: 1000 RPM
  • Air flowк: 37 m³/h
  • Acoustic noise: 20,2 dB(A)
  • Static pressure : 1,07 mmAq
  • Current: 0,09 A
  • Voltage: 12 V
  • Warranty: 5 years

That's one truly quiet fan. At times i tried to hear it but the only way that i managed to do so was with my ear nearly touching it, because of the rumbling fan of my videocard, that i thought to be a quiet on... It's necessary to mention the low price of the product too (5.75$ (still, mind you this is Internet price list info!))

Silent 12 TC

  • Dimentions: 120x120x25 mm
  • Weight: 130 g
  • Bearing: Hydro Dynamic
  • Fan speed: 750 (22C) – 1500 (42C) RPM
  • Air flow: 58 m³/h
  • Acoustic noise: 12 – 25.5 dB(A)
  • Static pressure: 1,07 mmAq
  • Current: 0,09 A
  • Voltage: 12 V
  • Warranty: 5 years

Graph for the temperature/speed ratio of a plain fan and Gelid Silent 12 TC:

My favorite model. The way it changes speed according to temperature and thus keeping the noise to minimum is so pleasing. And it's all that simple. You just place the thermal sensor where you want to and plug in the fan. Simple as that. But that's why with a price tag of 10.80$ (Again according to online price lists) this is the most expensive from from the trio.

Silent 12 PWM

  • Размер: 120x120x25 mm
  • Тегло: 130 g
  • Лагероване: Hydro Dynamic
  • Скорост на въртене: 750– 1500 RPM
  • Въздушен поток: 58 m³/h
  • Акустичен шум: 12 – 25.5 dB(A)
  • Статично налягане: 1,07 mmAq
  • Входящ ток: 0,09 A
  • Обхват на волтажа: 12 V
  • Гаранция: 5 години

This is a fan with a system of speed regulating according to the temperature and load of the CPU. Depending on these indications it can work on lower speeds, thus keeping quiet as possible.

Graph for the temperature/speed ratio of a plain fan and Gelid Silent 12 PWM:

Woh does the PWM works and what makes it better than an analog controller?
PWM supplies digital signal and its advantages are:
- It calculates the air flow according to the CPU temperature and the result is an 100% adequate to the situation cooling.
- PWM control works without radiating additional heat.
