Time has come for the review of the last participant in our "best PSU competition". Today we're reviewing a PSU from yet another little known brand - Hipro. The particular model, center of this review is from the K1 series and is rated at 580W.
Our friends from
Risk
chose to acquaint us with the products of one unknown to us manufacturer. At first we thought that Hipro
is yet another new Taiwanese manufacturer we've never heard of, but then we find out that they are subdivision of the very famous Chicony, a firm that makes power supply units not only for personal computers. So today we're reviewing one representative of the K1 series of PC PSUs. The K1 series uses Active PFC (nowadays all PSUs should be using it, but that's entirely other matter, one bringing life to old memories of the days when that was quite an expensive option). This particular product is the HP-D5801AW model and its rated at 580W, while the other members of this family are rated at 460, 520 and 650W. There is also a К2, which has 80+ rating. The price of Hipro K1 580W is set at about 65$.
