Page 2 - Closer look
The Hipro K1 580W is ugly to say the least, bordering with horrible. Its has insipid blue colouring with even worse background to the product characteristics on display. Its bottom bears a list of all the models of this family in which the current model is noted by self-adhesive sticker. If we must describe the general feel about the box with a single word, it will be this one hands down – cheap:
Besides the model marking, on the side there is a list of the connectors quantity:
Upon opening the box we get even more of a "cheap" feeling. The PSU is not well packed and stands kind of lonely in the roomy box – they should have wasted less space is you ask us:
The unit is coloured in black and quite a few cables stick out of it:
On the back are the power connector and the master circuit breaker, on the sides - a sticker with information about theproduct:
There are also some of the dreaded warranty labels, right above the cable bundle too:
The majority (or rather the minority) of cables. It's nice they are sleeved, it's not nice they are sleeved to the first connector only.
There are 2 PCI-E connectors – one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin. Enough to hook up one high-end card or two lesser ones with them:
CPU АТХ connector, it is a 2х4 pin combo – one of the very few good things in Hipro K1 580W:
The АТХ connector is a 20+4 pin solution, apparently Hipro have thought about those of you needing to make expensive upgrade of an archaic machine:
Here are the SATA cables along with the rest of the bunch:
Types and quantities of connectors of Hipro K1 580W:
- АТХ – 1 х 20+4 pin
- Additional CPU power – 2 х 4-pin
- Peripherals – 3 pcs.
- Fdd connectors – 1 pcs.
- Serial ATA – 6 pcs
- PCI-E – 1х6 pin and 1х2+6-pin
Length and cable distribution:
|----- 45 cm. -----| ATX 20+4-pin
|----- 45 cm. -----| ATX 4+4-pin CPU
|----- 45 cm. -----| 2+6-pin PCI-E
|----- 45 cm. -----| 6-pin PCI-E
|----- 45 cm. -----| PATA |-- 60 cm. --| PATA |-- 75 cm. --| floppy
|----- 45 cm. -----| SATA |-- 60 cm. --| SATA |-- 75 cm. --| SATA
|----- 45 cm. -----| SATA |-- 60 cm. --| SATA |-- 75 cm. --| SATA
Yep, cables are a tad short. and there are only two standard 4 pin molex (PATA connectors). Well, at least you get 6 SATА connectors. There are whole two PCI-E connectors too, though one is 6 pin while the other is a 6+2.
