Page 4 - Conclusion
Pros
- Unique and innovative design
- High level of of hard drive protection
- Data encryption
- RFID, with a spare key
- Bound to catch eyes and provoke envious comments
- Good performance
- Sturdy and good 0.8mm stainless steel frame
- Waterproof (whatever that's supposed to mean) design
- Easy to install
- Very god packaging, though a bit too tight fitting (that is being taken care of)
- No need of using additional software
- Its price alone is a sure win (40$)
Cons
- Heavier, bigger and more expensive than a standard 2.5” enclosure
- Indicator LED is a tad too bright
- To use the encryption you have to format the drive
- You could lose easily the RFID keys – but then again being absent-minded enough to do that would be your bigger problem
Bigger, heavier than standard 2.5” enclosures, but at the same time very very tempting with its awesome design and 40$ price. So tempting in fact that it can persuade you to pay few more bucks and use it along with a 2.5” SATA hard drive instead of external hard drive solution. As for the integrated RFID protection - that only adds value to with the awesome look! Hell, that big piece of stainless steel, combined with the excellent hard drive protection can even be used for self defense (or assault even), even though ammo clips aren't usually used in that manner. In Win yet again justify the use of "Style" in they web address ( www.inwin-style.com ) presenting us with an unique product that you'd want to have. Maybe not at any cost, but at its present one - certainly.
Many thanks to our friends from In Win
, who well deserve the “Style” in their web address for making this review possible.
