Page 12 - Conclusion
The card is undoubtedly surpassed all of our expectations! For it's small price (under 310 leva (~160 Euro) for plain referent model with poor bundle) you get the best in the middle class. Even more, the card was better or equal to HD 3870 512MB in each of the tests (not counting Call of Juarez and Lost Planet, things there being a tad different - the first game made to sell AMD and the second - NVIDIA, thus tainting the results). Puting aside the fact that there is availability of 8800 GT model for about 370 leva (~185 Euro) (though difficult and in limited quantity), then the obvious choice for a middle range card at a price of around 300 leva (~150 Euro)is non other than GeForce 9600 GT. We can say that the first 9th series card from NVIDIA is a definitely a leader in it's class with outstanding performance, massive overclock potential and unbeatable price compared to the other models priced similarly. This is expected to lower the prices of HD 3850 and HD 3870 from AMD, which is just another bonus for the end user. In the end things look like this:
Advantages:
- Better performance than any other medium class card
- Equal or better performance compared to the mid-high class of AMD - HD 3870
- Massive overclocking potential
- Great price of just under 310 leva (~160 Euro) (though a cheap 8800 GT 512MB at about 360 leva (~180 Euro) is a better choice)
Disadvantages
- Rather noisy cooler (under a load, while still less noisy than 8800 GT)
