Page 7 - Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

You've must heard of Company of Heroes - famous real time strategy set during WWII. The game dazzles not only with fantastic gameplay, but with incredible graphics too. The engine of Company of Heroes shows complex light scenes, incredible explosions, realistic smoke and more, the appearance of the units is unlimited to level of detail and all that puts the other games in the genre trailing far, far back.

Although a patch for the main game was made available some time ago, adding DirectX 10 effects, only with the release of the "Opposing Fronts" expansion that support was fully included in the package. For our tests we used the integrated "Performance Test", which is very intensive and demanding to the videocards. In it we witness exceptional use of water scenes, complex reflections, lights, explosions, smoke and other effects, so it is made quite evident if your card can handle any game requirement.

Again surprising (well, hardly after the first two tests...)! This is the first card for under 340 leva (~160 Euro) that is holding the decent 24 frames (Average) at 1680x1050 with settings at maximum. It still runs neck and neck with HD 3870, though a tad behind 8800 GT.
