Page 2 - Closer look

Noctua NH-C12P's box looks identical in shape, color and design to the boxes of each of this company's coolers.

It definitely grabs the eye not only with the specs of the massive cooler inside, but also with the two windows, through which you can behold the massive body of the cooler.

The cooler of course is well packed and comes with a good kit. Aside from the cooler and NF-P12 fan, the box contains fittings for most desktop CPU's (in other words most AMD AM variations and Intel's LGA775), detailed manual and one great thermal paste Noctua - NT-NH1, for which alone we are writing a review later. Alas the cool screwdriver that came with NH-U12P is nowhere to be found, but i don't think anyone will be buying the cooler for the screwdriver :)

Now lets get to the point. The radiator itself looks awesome. The fins are relatively close together and abundant. The six heat pipes definitely inspire respect. The base is well polished, and in good lighting conditions you can see your reflection in it. Noctua pay attention to the smallest of things, and it's nice to notice that there are no sharp cuts in the radiator fins, so the air won't "swoosh" too much when moving through them. All the edges are smoothed down, and any defect that the press could do is eliminated. When it comes to this the Austrians from Noctua have always done their job at the highest level so we can't say we're too surprised - we didn't expect less. Now let's see how this cooler will fit our system.
