Page 5 - Conclusion
Pros:
- High silence level, we couldn't even hear the fan, with a closed box and NO silence adapters.
- Great Performance
- Quite light and low profiled for its class
- Great look
- High quality thermal paste in the kit
- Universal fitting (comes with fittings for most modern sockets)
Cons:
Noctua have always payed attention to the littlest of details, and what we just saw was no exception. The cooler performed greatly, reaching first positions in the toughest tests (where CPU TDP exceeded 100W). At the same time its lower profile design allows it to fit in every normal PC case (unlike coolers like Cooler Master Hyper Z600 and Noctua NH-U12P which we compared it to) and it weighs just more than a pound, safe load for your motherboard. Of course high performance and quality have a price and it usually isn't cheap. Noctua NH-C12P can be bought for abound 80$, which is quite pricey. Well if overclocking is your hobby or you're a gamer with a high end CPU, there's nothing else for us to do, but recommend it. We guarantee that you'll appreciate the performance and the silence as well :)
