Page 2 - Closer look at Noctua NH-U12P
Every high class cooler comes properly packed and with a lot of extra stuff too.
Noctua NH-U12P comes with even more than expected. The box is mostly brown, the preferred Noctua colour. It's whole look is quite professional. On it at the front and back you can find detailed information about each and every specification detail of the cooler
In the big cooler box you'll find two smaller. In the first (and the bigger) are safely tucked in the fan and the cooler. the radiator on it's own was surprisingly big. The aluminum plates has lots of surface, each of them perfect right off the press. Noctua had not overlooked any detail, that would allow you to be suspicious of their devotion to flawless craftsmanship. The copper base has a mirror polish (and is absolutely flat, unlike the bases of most other coolers), the whole cooler is nickel plated in order to have that lovely shiny all metal look (otherwise the base and the heatpipes, being copper would stand out with their red amongst the aluminum plates).
The smaller box contains all the mounting parts, detailed manual for cooler mounting and... amazingly sturdy screwdriver (not thart you'll need it to be sturdy in order to mount any component inside the computer. but still...). The mounting parts are separated in three bags - one for the Intel LGA 775 only elements, another for the AMD AM2(+)only ones. And of course, the last one is for the elements which you will need either way.
Time have come to mount Noctua NH-U12P and do some real testing!
