Page 3 – Closer look
This is how the Razer Piranha looks like:
Design wise Piranha surely justifies its name – the headphones are stylish and look quite "carnivorous" with their edgy looks. The speaker cups are small, and bare the Razer logo on the outside. The frame is well lined and rather soft, just as is the cups lining too. Though, unfortunately Razer choose rather thick material that doesn't exactly "breathe":
The microphone of the gaming communicator is on the left. It can be rotated to 90 degrees and has a flexible shoulder. It does allow some adjusting in order to keep it in a desired position. It also does provides the opportunity to break it should a careless blow/drop occurs.
The cable with its textile mesh looks sturdy, but if coiled for prolonged period you'll have trouble straitening it up and it definitely will try to tangle itself. The remote controls the volume and can turn on/off the mic. Thing is there is no indication as to which position does what. There is a clip on the remote though.
You must have noticed already that there is an USB hanging at the end of the cable. Sorry, you're are about to be disappointed - no integrated digital decoder, the USB merely provides the means of illuminating the Razer logos on the headphones and the remote:
