Page 6 - Crysis
Hardly there is something about the game that is not already said, but lets summarize. This is the long expected Crytek title, which is somewhat FarCry’s sequel that 3 years ago stunned with its beautiful graphics and made gamers in possession of high-end video controllers ( 5900 / Radeon 9800 at the time) to mutter in frustration that they cannot run the game at highest settings, as they were accustomed to. Their high-end systems simply couldn’t cope with the heavy engine.
In other words, Crysis was one of the MOST expected games for 2007. In the game you are a secret service soldier, in possession of the so called “Crysis Suit” - a suit, which gives you special powers and abilities. From there on we talk about live-like scenes, resembling expensive Hollywood production. The vast and particularly detailed levels require great amount of memory, so if you want to experience special DX10 effects and larger resolutions, high-end video card, CPU and lots of memory are compulsory…and almost sufficient.
In the Internet is cycling a tool called Crysis Benchmark but we experienced a problem with it, for which we couldn’t find a solution – only lots of other people who have it – running Vista x64… We were forced to test with the built-in benchmark tool, which took far more time. We tested in DX10, 64bit mode to get the most out of the system.

Far from astonishing, the game is unplayable at these settings. Using Medium/High settings is much more sensible and provides much more enjoyable gaming experience at high framerate, without losing much detail in the game.
