The colorful box, coming at a price of 50$, doesn’t hide any surprises (the same cannot be said about the warranty card – next to the mouse sit the 36 months warranty):

StarMouse GS-502 claims proudly to be a gaming mouse, and even a very good one. Here are its features:

  • Three switch modes ( Internet / Gaming 1 / Gaming 2);
  • Two programmable buttons;
  • Advanced software features for gaming users;
  • Up to 45 inch per second and 20g of acceleration;
  • Full speed USB, data report rate: 500 report/sec;
  • 4-way scrolling wheel;
  • 400/800/1600/2400 dpi switchable;
  • Rubber side grips and finger grooves;
  • Ergonomic design;
  • Adjustable weight cartridge( Weight tuning max. 40g);
  • Windows Vista Certified.

For the lazy ones of you, who haven’t read the previous text, MSI have made a nifty diagram of the mouse, which summarizes the above information. Here is the diagram itself:

It is time to take a look at the mouse itself. The “fiery” design which MSI chose is clearly visible. Also the USB cable sticks out – it is thick, which makes it very resilient, but also it will probably hamper the mouse movements. Good impression makes the USB connector which is gold-plated. Another interesting fact is that MSI decided to equip their masterpiece with big supporting feet. For some it may seem stupid, because it brings extra friction. But we think that this is a rather good solution, which provides great deal of stability for the mouse. The extra wejght compartment is also clearly visible:
