Page 4 - Conclusion
Time for the final words, probably the mostly viewed part of this article :) Here is a short list of the keyboards adwantages and disadvantages (some of them subjective).
Pros:
- Sturdy aluminum construction
- Compact design, useful for LAN parties
- Decent blue key lighting
- Choice between black and silver design
- 8 multimedia keys
- Razer quality
Cons:
- нUncomfortable for text inputting
- Lighting has only on/off mode, in the dark it's simply too bright
- No software, nor hardware macro modes
- No special keys (we don't count the multimedia ones as too special)
- A tad pricy
Bottom line is that Everglide DKTBoard is a quality product, but it just can't keep up with the demands for the niche it's competing for. Compact design will allow you to carry it around with ease, but if you are accustomed to a big, massive keyboard with lots of options you won't like how DKTBoard handles typing in the long term. The lighting is nice, but a dimming control would be even nicer. Surely, lot's of this depends on the user preferences indeed. If its functionality suits you, its endurance and quality won't let you down.
Many thanks to Everglide, that so kindly supplied this product for testing.
