Page 3 - Special abilities

It's quite clear even from a quick glance that Logitech Wave is masterfully crafted with thought for small details even. Oh, yes, we are going to bring up all these small goods, that by themselves seem insignificant, to their righteous stature, one that makes the whole product superior.

On then first of the photos above you can see some of the holes that are placed all over the keyboard. Yes, these are bellow the keys and go all the way down. Should accidentally spill any of your favorite drink all over the keyboard (sadly a quite common occurrence for people that work for long and consume food and beverages in front of the computer). So in an event such as this one worry not for the Logitech Wave, because the liquid will drain through the holes without harming it. Consider yourselves warned though - your pants (skirt, desk, chair, carpet, whatever is near) are in danger of getting soaked...

In the same time every keyboard nowadays have lifting legs. Logitech Wave has two sets, the second one raises it quite a bit too. Oh! And they have marked on them the angles at which the keyboard will stand. Intriguing! :)

These days even cheap keyboards have multimedia buttons for controlling a media player. Here we find a full set of control keys for any type of multimedia - key for quick access to your pictures, to your favorite player, to the media center and to the widgets, that you use. On the side there is a switch for fast access to switching between screens in 3D mode that became widely popular with Windows Vista or Zoom-in/out according to the application you're using. At least these are the default settings, we'll talk about the level of control you have over them a bit later...

On the above three photos you can see something interesting and convenient - a thought about each of the special buttons place, size and design had been taken. The base of the Caps lock-a for example is bigger than the button itself, thus separating it from the others. Avoiding by this the accidental pressing! Similar thing is done for all of the "F1-12" keys - the buttons are leveled in such a way that an accidental touch will not press them all the way down.

The keyboard has big Delete, big left and right Shift, big Enter and big Backspace! Meaning that all the frequently used keys are made maximally easy to reach and press. The right Winkey and Options List are removed (I never find them to be useful anyway) and are replaced by Fn key just like in notebook keyboards. Fn in combination with some of the F keys can open useful program or function. The Insert button that usually sits above the middle Delete is gone too (another useless thing for me, upon pressing all it does is to erase the symbol before the tilde while typing).

Now let's see what king of additional control does the Logitech's - SetPoint software provides.
